Software

For screen capture videos of up to 5 minutes I use Jing.  I bought the Pro version for about $15/year.

When my MacBook Pro was running S-L-O-W,  I bought MacKeeper*.  It cleaned up my Mac and it’s now running great again.

Web Hosting

After trying out several different domain registrars and web hosting companies I finally decided on HostMonster*.  I like that I can have unlimited domains on one account (currently I have 5 domains with them) and their tech team respond really fast.  But be aware, the advertised price of $6.95 per month has to be paid in an annual lump sum.

Website

For landing pages like this one and this one I use OptimizePress*, a clever WordPress Theme for making these types of pages easily.  I like that James from OptimizePress has an extensive tutorial library.  I learned a lot from watching his videos (which you get access to once you buy the theme).  It’s a one-off payment of $97 but you can use it as many times as you want on any domain you own.  Well worth it!

My website is built on the Elle Child Theme* from Studio Press.  It is built on a Genesis Framework (don’t worry if you don’t know what this is, I don’t either) which means that I had to buy both of them together to get the Theme to work.  It cost me about $80.  I believe that that you only need to buy the Genesis Framework once, so if I want a new theme from Studio Press I would only need to buy the new theme and not the theme+genesis package.
